Backed by pro-voucher billionaires, they have all voted multiple times to defund our public schools and raise your property taxes. Voucher programs take tax dollars out of local public schools and use them to pay for private school education.

 

For working families, “vouchers” don’t even come close to paying the high cost of private school tuition. They are just another subsidy for the wealthy.

 

The Republican-controlled Legislative Budget Board estimates the voucher scam will cost taxpayers up to $2.5 billion, that we’ll end up paying for in higher property taxes.
